We have more essentials to give to the women we support thanks to our friends at Myonex

Myonex is one of our best friends in the world of business.

We met them last year when they were one of the first companies to respond when we contacted 180 of the biggest firms in the city and county seeking support our life-changing work.

They offered to fill 20 big boxes with everyday essentials for some of the most socially excluded women we know of, including those who are homeless or vulnerably housed.

They delivered the first 10 boxes late last year and now we've been over to their place to collect the rest, which they had been kindly storing for us.

Avril Lewis, our crisis intervention worker, said: "We were very glad to collect the second half of this very generous donation from Myonex and to meet the people there again.

"The boxes have been put together very carefully for us to give out to the women. It's things a lot of them just can't afford, so they go without instead.

"It's little things like a fluffy blanket or a toothbrush and toothpaste that mean a lot and show to the women that people do care about them. That means a lot."

Charley Benns, a member of the the firm's UK HR team, said previously: “When looking to partner with a charity for a social and engagement event for our employees at Myonex, it was important to us to choose a local charity whose values align with our own.

“The New Futures Project reached out to us just at the right time and brought this incredible charity to our attention.”
